Special Consideration Letter Template
Use this template when short-term circumstances affected one assessment or exam and you need a clear, policy-aligned request.
What should a special consideration letter say?
A useful special consideration letter briefly identifies the affected assessment, explains the short-term circumstances in factual terms, lists the attached evidence, and asks for a specific policy-available outcome such as an extension or deferred assessment. The strongest letters stay concise, use dates, and avoid overstating what the documents cannot prove.
